Director, Workforce Development
Brynt has a diverse background in both the public and private sectors. In addition to his current role as the Director, Workforce Development at NextFlex, a national advanced manufacturing consortium, he also serves as a Science and Technology Policy Fellow for the Department of Energy’s Advanced Manufacturing Office. He also co-founded WorkScouts, a technology platform designed to connect transitioning service members and veterans with education and employment opportunities in advanced manufacturing. Prior to these roles, Brynt served nearly 25 years as an Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army rising to the rank of colonel. During his time in uniform, he served in a wide variety of leadership, operations, and training roles to include three combat tours in Iraq between 2004 and 2009. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, NY, several master’s degrees from Louisiana State University and the US Army War College respectively, and a graduate level certificate in Business and Entrepreneurship from Stanford University.
